MiFID II Summit
May 24th 2017, London

Rosalyn Breedy is set to chair a panel on technology and communications in the financial services industry at the MiFID Summit at the Savoy Hotel in London on Wednesday 24 May.

The summit, organised by WealthBriefing and ClearView Financial Media, will bring together lawyers, technology experts, investment firms and banks to help wealth managers prepare for the launch of MiFID II, a new directive for the regulation of investment services which comes into force on 3 January 2018. The summit will focus on finding systems which will be beneficial for the launch of the new directive, including data storage and client communications, investor protection and safeguarding and industry transparency.

Rosalyn will be chairing the panel ‘Enhanced reporting: leveraging technology to track communications’, which will look at how the financial services industry can apply technology to solve the problems posed by the new directive. The panel will focus in particular on using technology in the recording of telephone conversations and emails, and the range of issues this brings including data storage solutions, technology audits and IT security policies.
